[I really want to follow my heart. I want to grab my keys and drive. I want to pack my bags and fly. I want to up and just travel. I want to go places whether it be a road trip or out of the country. My heart yearns to be free from all these responsibilities and priorities of an adult. But, I cannot do what my heart wants because I am a person without a job or money. I am a girl with lots of student loans and strings that are keeping me tied down.]

[I had to do what I needed to do to get through my summer courses, which entailed of a cup of my mom's herbal medicine every day and time with my virtual boyfriend. Even though life was not necessarily good, it was manageable. For the most part, I was content with what I had been blessed with.]

[I took this photo on my morning walk to class. At the end of this beautiful path is a wooded area with a ditch. I had to walk pass this area to get to and from class. On this same day, on my way back later in the afternoon, I heard someone call my name as I neared the wooded area. I did not answer because I was walking alone. On the third call, I felt a force hit my right shoulder. I reeled around in fear to try and fight my assailant. I saw no one. I was still alone.]

[It was the first day of summer classes, and on my way to class, I came across this unlit street lamp draped in blooming flowers. The smell of summer bloom was intoxicating. I had to snap a picture because this sight exuded some sort of London feels to me.]

[As much as I love watching sunsets and sunrises, I also love watching the moon. There is something mystical and captivating about it. When I was a kid, I used to hate my name. No one could ever pronounce it right, and it was embarrassing to get called out for not having an American name even though it was an 'American' name. It was only after I have learned that my name translates to mean "the moon, girl of the moon,  or moon song" in English that I truly appreciate my name. Now, I take pride in my beautiful name.]
